Novacan Black Patina

The item arrived in good time and very well packed. I did what was suggsted in that I practised on a piece of scrap lead first. I was very pleased to see that the lead blackened immediately but disappointed that when rubbed to dry off the excess the lead reverted to grey only. This had been the problem when I had tried the black stove polish previously - it just reverted to grey once rubbed. So I have decided to give up on trying to get my lead black. I'll settle for its natural colour

First of all I'd like to thank lead & light for their efficient service. It arrived within a couple of days and packaged very well idead. I haven't used this product as yet, put I do plan to use it on some white metal 1/35 scale track links which a fellow scale modeller demonstrate on YouTube to great results.

I have used other patinas in the past but this is by far the best for lovely black solder lines !

I was hoping for it to be a little blacker. But it looked good on the finished work.

This brand leaves a warm dark brown colour after one coat. I found it useful as I make stained glass birds and brown is far more appropriate for me. The price was incredible and the service from lead and light was the usual which is EXCELLENT

I have found this to be the best so far. I apply it with a soft brush, which I constantly clean on a wad of tissue paper.
Would recommend.
